Orlando, Florida ERLC In-Game Staff Handbook
Purpose: This handbook defines expectations, authority, and procedures for all in-game ERLC (Emergency Response: Liberty County) staff. It ensures fair gameplay, proper law enforcement roleplay, and community safety.
1. Mission & Core Values
Mission: Provide a realistic, fun, and safe law enforcement experience in ERLC while protecting RP integrity and community trust.

2. Staff Structure & Chain of Command
Game Owner / Creator
- Final authority on all game decisions
- Controls game assets and monetization
Chief of Staff / Head Administrator
- Oversees all staff operations in ERLC
- Sets rules and policies
- Handles escalated disputes and RP conflicts
Administrator / Captain
- Enforces rules
- Manages Moderators and Law Enforcement Supervisors
- Reviews incidents, punishments, and appeals
Moderator / Sergeant
- Handles day-to-day player enforcement
- Monitors roleplay interactions for fairness and adherence to rules
- Reports issues to Administrators
Trial Moderator / Officer
- Limited moderation powers
- Closely monitored by higher-ranked staff
- Primarily assists in emergency calls, traffic stops, and rule enforcement
3. Authority & Permissions
- Officers promoted to Sergeant: Approved by Administrator/Captain
- Sergeant to Administrator: Approved by Head Administrator/Chief
- Promotions based on performance, conduct, and trust
Suspension & Removal
- Officers may be suspended by Administrators
- Administrators may be suspended by Head Administrator
- Permanent removal requires documentation and review
Decision Overrides
- Higher rank may override lower rank decisions
- Must be documented and explained
- Abuse of override authority will result in disciplinary action
Emergency Authority
- In events like RP riots, server crashes, or rule-breaking emergencies, Admins+ may act immediately and report after the fact.
4. Professional Conduct (Higher Standard)
Staff in ERLC are held to higher standards than regular players.
Expected Behavior
- Calm, professional communication
- Fair and unbiased enforcement
- No personal conflicts influencing decisions
Neutrality & Fairness
- No favoritism (friends, donors, or VIPs)
- Rules apply to everyone
- All incidents treated consistently
Prohibited Behavior
- Abuse of admin powers (e.g., teleporting, jail abuse)
- Public arguments with players or staff
- Threatening players or staff
- Leaking internal rules or investigations
5. In-Character & Public Representation
- Staff represent the ERLC brand at all times in-game
- Staff in RP servers must maintain professionalism even while in-character
- Trolling, griefing, or joking with powers is prohibited
- External platforms (Discord, Roblox groups) must reflect professionalism
6. Moderation Guidelines

Severity may skip steps for extreme cases.
Documentation Required
- Player username
- Roleplay violation or rule broken

8. Conflict Resolution
Player vs Player
- Remain neutral
- Investigate fully before action
- Avoid public judgment
Staff vs Player
- Reviewed by a different staff member if disputed
Staff vs Staff
- Address privately first
- Escalate unresolved issues to higher ranks
- No public disputes
9. Appeals & Grievances
Players and staff may appeal punishments.
Appeal Requirements:
- Roblox username
- Date of punishment
- Reason for appeal
- Evidence (if any)
Appeals are reviewed by staff not involved in the original action.
10. Accountability & Discipline
Staff are accountable for:
- Actions and commands used
- Behavior toward players and staff
- Maintaining RP integrity
Disciplinary Actions:
- Warning
- Demotion
- Suspension
- Removal
Repeated or severe violations may result in permanent removal.
11. Confidentiality
Staff must not:
- Share internal logs or discussions
- Publicize punishments
- Leak updates or systems
Violations may result in immediate removal.
12. Acknowledgment
By accepting a staff role in ERLC, you confirm:
- You have read and understood this handbook
- You agree to follow all policies
- You understand staff roles are privileges, not rights
